I was greatly disappointed in the head of the English Department —she projected an arrogant, authoritative attitude and could have done more to include my daughter in group discussions -who often came home in tears. Further, this teacher’s strong political opinions curtailed counterpoint discussion. Altogether, an oppressive, depressive experience!
I loved the atmosphere and the high standards we were held to being in a private catholic school. Everyone was always so accepting of one another no matter how different each person was. The faculty made personal connections with every student and truly cared about where we were headed with our futures. Chatard was my home away from home where I knew people truly cared about my well being. I wouldn't change a thing, okay maybe to bring back the old chocolate chip cookies in the cafeteria! I can tell you that my children will be attending Bishop Chatard because I want them to have an experience like mine where you are proud every day to get to say where you went to high school. Being in college only a few hours away from my high school, it is an honor that when you say Bishop Chatard people recognize the name and the wonderful reputation this school has within the community.
I love that Bishop Chatard High School heavily focuses on the development of the whole person and models after the teachings and example of Jesus Christ. Bishop Chatard is more than just a place of learning. For me personally, and many other students and my fellow classmates, Bishop Chatard High School is my home. Bishop Chatard is home to a successful and rigorous academic curriculum, loving and supportive teachers and support staff, numerous extracurricular activities, strong faith, and a proud Trojan nation.
