I transferred to Canevin my senior year from another local school. I loved the atmosphere of the school, the principal was beyond nice, and teachers were also pretty nice. Academically, the school could use improvement. Comparing it to my previous school, we barely did school work and it didn’t prepare any of the students. I already learned what Seniors here learned in my early years of my old high school. The resources are lacking and the school seems run down a lot. A lot of cheating. But the staff is extremely nice and kind hearted.

I would like to see the school improve in their academics. They focus on a few students and forget about the rest. They pride themselves on academics, but most of the school struggles or cheats. With this change I hope they would better prepare their students for college and make sure students understand material. I know when I went to school I felt like I had been cheated of an education. For a school that people pay tuition to go to it is a waste of money.
It is great here! Everyone is really kind and the teachers know you and care for you. I have toured other catholic high schools in Pittsburgh, including one in the west hills that claims to be catholic but is not part of the Diocese, this is by far the best one.
