I am a sophomore, about to be a junior, at Olympic High school in Charlotte, North Carolina. Just recently Olympic has combined into one school instead of being five different school in one. My freshmen year I was registered into the Biotech school for biomedical science. It was a very descent school to go to, it taught me so much. It made me fall in love with the study of medicine and science which I aspire to continue in my future. The teaching was very strict and always completely straight forward. Now that Olympic High school is one complete school I have had the chance to get out of my comfort zone and attempt more challenges, which I absolutely admired!

The school of Biotechnology, Health, & Public Administration at Olympic High School was overall a resourceful, intellectual school. It was smaller than the rest of the schools combined, but that helped more when it came to the learning setting of the classroom. Now that the schools are combined as one, things have changed drastically. Olympic High School has undergone a series of changes; academically, with the policies, the start of the school day, the classes we can take, etc. The schools were better as the separate small schools under one name. When the schools became one, the school's rating went from.If you ask me, I'd say the reason for that is because now that the schools are no longer under individual pathways , it makes it more challenging to obtain classes that will aid a student further in their chosen pathway. For example, a student named
Well there’s no such thing as the five schools anymore. Before it was called Olympic Community of Schools, now we are Olympic High School. As one unit everything is running quite well. Now you’re able to choose different path ways throughout high school. For example, in my situation I am taking engineering classes as well are health science since i’m undecided in what my future career will be. Still am, not going to lie. The education opportunities we have are like no other, if you go here explore your opportunities don’t just stick with the normal core classes and basic electives.
