Great school! Not as strong academically as other schools I’ve been to, but they’ve been picking their game up. Teachers are more like family, and there is lots of pride. Very lucky to be a Big Sandy Graduate.

Teachers are not required to communicate with parents on child progress. They think that getting a "progress report" qith a grade with no explanation during the six weeks is communicating. The principal states he will not make teachera communicate with parents if they are uncomfortable doing so.

The staff also works hard for the children they are related to or the relative of friends. The rest they could care less about.
The extracurricular opportunities at my school are okay for a small school. My school only has a hand full of clubs and organizations, and these clubs are easy to get into. Sports or athletics is the most productive and popular of any extracurricular opportunities.
