I think that Bexley is an excellent high school. Their academics and student-faculty engagement is phenomenal. One thing that I would like to see is more diversity however. Bexley is only 2 by 2 miles and only people who live in the radius can send their kids to school there. However, Bexley is expensive, and for the most part I was surrounded by rich, white Jewish kids that weren't too interested in engaging with new students. I think that Bexley should offer a lottery program that allows a certain number of students from the surrounding Columbus Public School district to attend their schools. I think it would help increase their minority students and encourage students who are currently their to engage with them.

Bexley academically prepares students for college- the teachers are phenomenal, the courses are challenging, and all academic areas have a broad range of AP classes. The building is safe and beautiful, and the facilities are great for sports (big stadium, basketball court). Socially, it tends to lack in diversity and be cliquey- its small size lends itself to exclusivity. However, there are many nice people and you can make great friendships if you seek them out.
Bexley gives you a family connection. Its a small community that cares about one another and helps no matter what. My experience was wonderful, I learned so much from education to becoming a better person overall.
