Betty Fairfax High School is a great school for academics. The teachers over here are the best as they are always ready to teach and willing to help students even after school. The only problem is that there is a lot of fights which gives us a bad reputation. Despite that, students try their best to accept other students as we are a high school with all sorts of culture. Their arts are magnificent and I highly encourage anyone to join the band: Equus of Fairfax!

I personally enjoy attending this school. This is an IB World School offering all students an IB Education. I am in this program and and am aiming for a certificate. There are several clubs, activities and sports students can join. I am involved in a few clubs such as Student Government, Book club, Participatory Budget, Mythology club and a few others. I enjoy attending the sports games and showing support to my school. The teachers and staff are amazing and several students enjoy interacting with their teachers. There is definitely diversity within this school and it is seen all throughout campus. I appreciate how the IB program has helped me get a better understanding of colleges and how to be prepared. Since I joined this school, I have been given many resources that can help me get prepared for college and how to apply for scholarships. Overall, I truly enjoy attending this school and have grown into a new and better person by joining clubs and meeting new people.
The teachers in the IB program definitely care about your education and are really understanding. Our new principal has been actively trying to improve the security and quality of our campus, and it's nice to have a principal and staff that cares. The security guards feel like family and are so kind. Our campus is very nice and spacious, although we don't have a lot of greenery (which would be nice). Unfortunately, there is a lack of parent involvement that causes students to act out; however, that is not the school's fault. They provide a decent amount of support and protection to steer us away from trouble. There could be a bit more unity overall and a more involved student body- however, again, that isn't the school's fault. Socially the school is very diverse and so you have a lot of options when it comes to friendship which I appreciate. Fairfax really gives you the ability to have a true American high school experience, which I greatly appreciate. The band hall is also very nice
