Bethlehem Academy is a marvelous school. This school helps students thrive to live out their faith. The school teaches students how to strive to become academically strong and successful. They live their motto on the four pillars: Service, Prayer, Community, Education. Bethlehem Academy provides religion classes to allow students to grow in Catholic Education. Even if one is not Catholic, they are still able to learn about the Catholic Church. Service is a big part of the school. Every student, including middle school, is required to have 20 service hours throughout the year. Students are able to go out and help out around the community. The best part about Bethlehem Academy is we are a family. Once you attend BA you are apart of the family. Everyone is close and friendly. BA also has small class sizes ranging from 25-40 kids per class. This allows students to become very close to teaches and not be afraid to get help.
The size of the school is very favorable, and contributes to the school's community. However, administration for the past several years has been a mess. There have been poor responses to many of the issues occurring in our school, including school protests, racism, and violence. My opinion of this school has deteriorated in the past year because of this.
The one thing really positive I have to say about my school is how much the teachers care about the students. Our average class size is around 30 so the teachers really have the ability to form relationships with every student. Although going to such a small school does have some downsides. I wish they had more class options and learning opportunities then they did.
