From what I've seen it is very inclusive overall. Most of the teachers are good, especially for upperclassmen. The school has very nice architecture. Windows in every classroom. The security guards are nice. There are also pianos all over school for no significant reason, and you can often hear someone playing one. What they lack: non academic classes and a variety of languages. They do not have any non academic classes, such as a car class or wood working class. Nothing hands on. They also don't have Italian; They have Spanish, French, Arabic, and (maybe) Chinese. overall good experience!
The diversity is awesome! Students from all over the world are found at BCC. There are a lot of very challenging classes which is awesome and really helps students get ready for college. Clubs and sports are also very well organized and diverse. My global experience has been excellent as my teachers, the staff, the students and the coaches are all very welcoming and ready to help!
As BCC was located in the heart of downtown Bethesda, I have many fond memories of going out to lunch at neighborhood restaurants, and spending time with friends after school roaming the area. Academics are rigorous, and emphasis was placed on college preparation throughout my four years there. While all the teachers were pretty excellent, a few stood out for their sense of humor, unique teaching style, and flexibility in grading late assignments due to extraneous circumstances. There was a lot of drama my last couple years there since we had a new principle who took underage drinking very seriously, and several students were unable to attend graduation due to drinking at prom. However, this seems completely reasonable to me personally. One thing that frustrated me was the fact that my entire senior year, the field was under construction to build a new parking lot, meaning no home games, and no student parking unless you were an athlete or had to drive to an internship after school.
