I attended Bethany middle school through high school and throughly enjoyed my time there. As I took many Bible classes and participated in chapel, I was given a space to share my faith and beliefs and grow enormously along the way. I really appreciated the way most teachers reached out and genuinely wanted to know how I was going, creating really special relationships. The only thing that I wish would change would be their emphasis on sports instead of music and the arts. The time and effort put into music is not appreciated enough!
I have been enrolled at Bethany since fourth grade. The school has done an amazing job at fostering student-teacher relationships and making sure that it is a safe place to express your opinions. The school lunches have taken a turn for the worst after the Obama administration but the school has worked hard to try and improve them. The extra curricular are few because of the size of the school but there is a lot of effort put into the ones that they do have to insure that they appeal to the students. The academic courses are rigourus but doable. They are preparing the students for college and ensuring future success. As for the diversity in the school, there are surely improvements that can be made.
Bethany Christian Schools is a great environment for students to learn in, the teachers are very trustworthy and feel more like friends than teachers. Even if the community is small, it creates a tightness in relationships and brings everyone closer than they would be in other schools. Everyone gets to know each other very well and you can easily depend on others during hard times there.
