Berkshire Middle School Reviews
Rating 4 out of 5 8 reviews
Berkshire Middle School in the Birmingham Public Schools District provided a decent academic program, with knowledgeable teachers and a comprehensive curriculum. However, I struggled with the social environment, finding it difficult to connect with peers and feeling isolated due to cliques. The school could benefit from promoting inclusivity and addressing bullying issues more effectively. Overall, my experience at Berkshire Middle School has been a mix of positive and negative aspects, highlighting the need for improvements in fostering a welcoming and supportive community for all students.
We just started at Berkshire but love it already. We come from Detroit Public Schools and the difference is alarmingly better. The school is probably the most diverse I have seen in the area both in staff and students. So far we are very happy with the change and glad we switched to Berkshire!
This school may not be the best in its district but its by far the most amazing. The principal ,Jason Clinkscale, is amazing and should win an award for his work at Berkshire. Mr. Clinkscale walks the halls everyday talking to the kids and teachers. He makes sure that there are assemblies and field trips that prepare us for High school. The environment in the school makes for a wonderful learning experience. The staff at Berkshire always pushes the students to success and most of the time overachieve. The staff is also very understanding and open to students no matter who they are. The arts programs and clubs at this school are probably the second best in the district. The clubs/arts include Band, Orchestra, Choir, general Art design, CAD, ZAP, skills for success, skills for living, sewing, cooking, Coders club, BMS news, and many other clubs that take place after school. Pick this school its my last year and enjoyed every year I was here.
