Overall, Berkeley High has been great! Lot's of class choices at all levels and many clubs and activities to participate in. Although there are generally very good teachers at BHS, I think they could do a better job at controlling their classrooms. All too often there are students not paying any attention and taking time away from learning. Please teachers!

I like Berkeley High because it is big, diverse and there is a place for everyone. The school has many different types of people, clubs, sports, activities and classes, there is a lot to choose from. I feel our environment tries to support all types of people: we have a Black Studies department and Chicano-Latino classes. We have a health center that provides counseling, feminine products, sexual health products, and medical attention. Our school is not afraid to stand up and discuss present day political and societal issues. Berkeley is fortunate to have lots of resources and a pretty devoted staff.
As a senior in Berkeley High, I have been moving plenty of times recently, and being in a whole different district and environment, I have had a pleasing experience here. Every where you go is an appealing sight of both cultural identity, in every individual on campus. The campus is very open and the people are welcoming. Enjoy your stay here!
