“Empowering children to fulfill their unlimited God-given potential...". This is truly happening at Berkeley Hall School. I love the fact that they have not taken “God” out of the equation, yet they refrain from teaching religion. Knowing that each and every teacher has a foundation in morally strong principles through their own learning and growing. If you are located in Los Angeles, CA and looking for a preschool through grade 8 school don’t pass up Berkeley Hall. This school truly is striving to develop each and every child to become “fearless scholars and conscientious citizens”.

An undeniable asset of BHS is the ability of the head of school, Dr. Staley, to lead the teachers in a program called “Depth of Study”, a plan for the faculty and staff to grow and learn in an extremely focused manner resulting in continued improvement in educating the children. BHS, Home of the Bobcats, a treasure in the Hills of Los Angeles!

BHS is a great example of education tailored to your child’s needs. Coming from a liberal school in Europe, my boys were behind academically, but with the help of conscientious teachers and peer tutors, they caught up, and now are among the top students. They have endless opportunities to discover their strengths and support to find their passion. Students are not only constantly challenged to improve their personal best!

The diversity of the community also plays an important part in educating our children, a gift hard to come by in private school. BHS creates a loving, supporting environment for academic progress, shapes our children into conscientious citizens, subconsciously instilling core values in them, and lets them enjoy sports for the sake of sports!

We will go back to Europe full of unforgettable memories and a great education for our boys!
Before our daughter began her journey with Berkeley Hall, we fell in love with the campus, the schools core beliefs, the inclusion of family, the after school programs and the class sizes (not to mention the inclusion of curriculum that is eliminated from so many schools: music, physical education, and an outstanding art program). This is our third year here and we could not be happier. They have exceeded our expectations with a campus of critical thinkers, global awareness events, and a celebration of diversity.
The teachers are amazing! They make learning fun using the entire campus as their classroom. All grade level teachers are connected to the students, not just their students, but all students. Our daughter feels safe, loved and has the freedom to express herself as an individual.
What the children gain at Berkeley Hall is the whole person education and what we have gained is an extension of our family.
