Bergen Catholic High School Reviews
Rating 4.43 out of 5 242 reviews
Bergen Catholic provided me with an excellent education which enabled me to get admitted to six of the best engineering schools in the country. That is reason enough to be thankful for having gone there.
But it is also a lifetime experience. Bergen Catholic graduates have leadership roles in many diverse areas and there is always a special bond when you meet another BC alum. And like a family, Bergen Catholic provides many opportunities for alumni to come back to the school not only to meet old friends but also to give back. There are opportunities for mentoring current students as well as young graduates seeking advice on their careers.
Finally, BC has excellent athletic programs both for students and for alums who use them as get togethers with fellow alums. I am part of a network that exchanges news of Bergen Catholic sports teams with fellow alums across the country. And those of us who no longer live in Bergen County can now stream the football games! We stay connected.

Though the school is known for their strong sports programs, they are also very strong academically. My son had the opportunity to take multiple AP courses in nearly every subject during both his Junior and Senior years, and was well equipped to sit for the exams.
Their new Research program was outstanding! My son had a once in a lifetime experience, not only to work with doctors to actually observe cardiac procedures, but take that information and design and defend a research project. There is a true sense of community and brotherhood at Bergen Catholic. The school does truly teach the boys how to be gentleman who are concerned for each other and the world at large. My son loved his experience at Bergen Catholic, both academically and socially.

We have been very happy with Bergen Catholic High School. BC encourages a nurturing, supportive environment and seems to understand the social, emotional, and physical needs, wellbeing and health teen boys need today. We appreciate the diverse community of students at BC and the school provides activities, sports, service opportunities, missions, and trips that encourage, promote, and enhance each student's education, talents, and individuality. BC continues to create an education and curriculum rooted in its values while constantly evolving to better prepare the students in their future. More importantly, Bergen Catholic's school community; including the administration, educators and students have often demonstrated their care, concern, support, and love when one of their own students have faced unthinkable challenges and adversity. It is these times that the school community exemplifies its motto of “Catholic. Gentleman. Leaders.” and reasons we send our son to Bergen Catholic.
