Berea Community High School is a family in every sense of the word. Being based in a small town allows us to always have that close-knit feeling, everyday. We start everyday with positive encouragements from our Principal Donna Lovell, whom on the loudspeakers or in person is always smiling, joking, and spreading consistent love and care. What I love most about Berea is that everyone knows everybody, and while people might find that troublesome, it feels good to know that once you walk out of those doors in May of your graduation year, you will pass by someone whom you recognize and maybe even start a conversation, almost like nothing changed. I've only been at Berea since 5th grade unlike a lot of my classmates, however, I've never felt like the "odd ball" or anything as such; instead I've felt nothing but a feeling of acceptance. We have the best school spirit, the best kids, the best teachers, and the best school. We are Berea.

Lots of individuality! Very pleased with my first year here, been a welcoming and challenging experience. I am able to take courses at the local university (Berea College) and earn credits this way.
Berea is a pretty average school by some means. It's a really small school, which means there is lots of opportunity to shine. I was able to learn some new sports I had not previously played because the school was small. The atmosphere is generally positive: you have your mean people, as per any place, but the majority of people are good and easy to work with. Berea is easygoing and the teachers and staff are, for the most part, understanding and good teachers. The class selection is not the best, even in the high school, but has all the core classes needed. There is always a student safety police officer at the school so students should feel safe.
