There are so many wonderful things about being a student at Bentonville West! The teachers truly care about you as a person. I appreciate how every single teacher would makes sure that you understand a concept. There are also so many ways to get involved whether that be through clubs, sports, or other electives. One thing that has stood out to me the most is the choir department under the direction of Kayla Abernathy and Colton Hill. They are wonderful choir directors who truly have a passion for music. I have had the honor of being a part of the choir department since my freshman year and it has always been my favorite part of coming to school. Our principal Dr. Guthrie is wonderful too. He shows how much he cares about the students every single day and makes everyone feel more at home. I can truly say that after I graduate this May, I will miss this school so much. I can’t thank every teacher I’ve had enough for making my high school experience a positive one.
BWHS is a great school! It's clean, has great teachers and staff, good sports programs, good music programs, awesome location, and very low traffic to get there. Awesome football field, training facility, weight rooms, gyms/arena, and baseball/softball fields. Highly recommend this school after going here for 4 years!
I was at the school the first three years that it was open and I loved it! It offered me to have plenty of opportunities that I would not have been able to find had I gone to other schools. The athletic programs were great and the teaching staff and class opportunities were plentiful. The culture of the school is centered around community and making sure that students feel at home and accepted. Although it is a fairly large school, the teachers and work very hard to connect with students on a personal level. The class size is still small enough for teachers to cater to the needs of each student.
