Benson is a place where there are many diverse students with different backgrounds, languages, religious beliefs, and cultures. The school informs students of opportunities that are open to them. The health academy is what Benson is known for because students are offered the opportunity to participate in work - based environments. I like the programs they offered such as Upward Bound and College Possible. Those two programs helped me a lot. For example helping prepare for the ACT, homework, and having someone to talk to. They also care about their students by checking out grades and seeing what we are struggling with and offer tutoring. Upward Bound helped me out of my shell and make new friends.
I love the diversity within the school. It is refreshing and the clubs are amazing at bringing different student of different background together. I also love how dedicated and hardworking the teachers are. The different academies are also very helpful as I’m interest in health academy, I get to take health related classes and not classes that I am not interest in. The school is partnering with UNL, which is very good at supporting and preparing the students for college .
