Although it has its cons, I love this school! The environment, being around other intelligent kids has challenged me and motivated me to work much harder. It makes me feel bad when I see all these over-achievers around me. There are a lot of clubs and organizations and school events, and I've made many friends and felt more comfortable expressing myself at this school compared to my previous one. I love the diversity of the student body at this school too; it makes me feel not so ostracized. I feel like I'm growing into a better person because of this high school. My only complaint is the quality of some of the teachers, and some of the administration, who are not the most organized and don't communicate with the students very well.

Parents at Franklin are very critical of their children because they want the best. That being said, the interactions I have had with parents at sporting events have truly made my day numerous times. They are constantly there supporting their children for the most part and it is the best. The Boom Squad was established this year for Franklin Varsity Volleyball and whenever Allison went up for a kill they yelled BOOM! Experiences like those made me proud of our falcon parents but overall, they are not that involved.
It is an amazing school which is academically challenging while nurturing our children. Teachers and counsellors with the child to prepare individual program plans to enable the student to challenge themselves academically while still pursuing courses that interest them. Students are well prepared for the rigor of college. We are very happy with Ben Franklin High School!
