The extracurricular activities at Ben Gamla are the best. For the statements above, I mentioned that there are no after school activities (to the exception of the sports teams). This is because all of the extracurricular activities are during school (study halls and lunch). Since the clubs are during school, this gives every single student the chance to join a club or activity.

There are a variety of school-wide policies that affect the students and parents. Some of these include, the uniform policy (having to where school approved uniforms everyday) and the volunteer policy for parents (the parents have to do a minimum of 30 hours (or donate 300 dollars) for the school.
Since the school is relatively small, the social scene at the school is pretty good. Most of the clicks overlap a lot and almost everyone knows each other and are acquaintances. The diversity is pretty good as well, a majority of the school is Jewish; however, there is a big African-American and Latino population as well.
