I would choose this school again because I was not the average student to attend there. I was able to find life long friends at this school from many different backgrounds. The principal there, Kevin Malone, also made sure it stayed on top of everyone! He watched out for us as if we were his own kids. His daughter even attended the school while I was there, but honestly we all could have been his children. The teachers always make sure we are engaged. They are very understanding and always are there for help. My favorite experience there was me participating in the talent show. I rapped, but everyone enjoyed it. People even made signs for me! My second favorite experience was also playing on the soccer team. What makes this school unique is that it was so big, but it was truly a family. I would choose this school all over again because of the family environment that they made ever so present.
Nearly everyone found something to do regarding extracurriculars. I played soccer during my years there and I fell in love with it. I was able to continue it in high school as well. Almost everyone who played a sport continued on to high school to play these same sports and were successful. There are several boys who have received full scholarships due to the level of play of football in their high school years. I believe this is all accredited to Bellevue. Faculty, parents, and alumni were all always at sporting events. I was also part of National Junior Honor Society and Beta Club. Many of the girls also wanted to be apart of the majorette team! They won many awards throughout Memphis parades.
We are enrolling from another state in the middle of the school year. I have visited Bellevue twice and am very comfortable with the environment and academic challenges that the school offers. Each classroom was busy doing class assignments or listening to the teacher's lecturing of subject topic, etc. Academics is very important to us. I am positive that our daugther will soar at Bellevue.
