Bellevue East High School Reviews
Rating 3.68 out of 5 206 reviews
I have really enjoyed attending Bellevue East High School. They provide great opportunities to take college level courses while in high school and give student the opportunity to lower college costs by having accumulated college credits prior to graduating. The school is also quite diverse and has allowed me the opportunity to interact with and learn the traditions of many different cultures. It is so important is today's world to be able to work with and understand various cultures and how one's interactions and demeanor may be construed by the other individual. With this background, I think I will have a good understanding of how to interact with different cultures both in college and in the workplace and how to have a respectful discourse, especially if our opinions on a topic differ. It is imperative to be inclusive in ones thinking.
Bellevue East High School is a fairly good school with no major strengths but no major weaknesses either with the exception of one teacher. All my personal experiences with teachers have ranged from average to excellent, and we do have some amazing teachers, but my sister does have a teacher who disciplines in a blatant, discriminatory manner that the school has done nothing to correct. According to her, those in her class will purposely do the things that get kids specifically of color sent out of the room or otherwise disciplined with absolutely no acknowledgment from the teacher.
My over experience is good in this school.
What I like about it is that it is really easy to make friends and to get help from teachers whenever you need help in general. All of the teacher that I have were thoughtful. Most people are nice. What I’m most grateful is that Advanced Placement Classes and Dual enrollments are available for most subjects. What should change, however, are sports in general. We keep losing Football to almost all other schools for decades. In others, like Basketball, Softball, Volleyball, etc., they aren’t as terrible, but I believed that the school shouldn’t lose this much to other schools.
