I've played an integral role in the occurrences at Belleview High School over the last four years through my participation in three sports, nine clubs, and the AICE program.
I like Belleview High School because of the faculty, the STEM program, and how the school prepares you for college. The faculty is there for you at all times. The STEM program allows many opportunities to succeed and compete to represent Belleview. The AICE program prepares you for college through forcing you to study and complete studious amounts of homework.
I would change several things including making the Student Government Association a more integral piece in decision-making at school, a less bureaucratic approach to tasks, and a larger emphasis placed on balancing school and sports life.

Belleview High School is a mediocre school all around. The selection of classes offered here is underwhelming, despite advertising the AICE program and a Robotics program in order to bring in prospective students. The arts are an afterthought to this school. The art and music classes here are incredibly shallow, despite good art and music curriculum being a part of the AICE program, the school does not offer these courses. The school is in need of a new building, as many classes are located in portables.
Some of these things are the fault of underfunding of the school. However, some of them are not. The teaching staff and administration have a problem of abusing their power and being unhelpful to students who are going through injustices. I personally have had my freedom of speech threatened and I know of multiple instances of staff being purposefully unaccommodating to LGBTQ students who have expressed genuine frustrations about treatment from teachers.

It’s a great public school, i’m fairly new but i’m on the varsity cheerleading team this year! They have great sports programs and lots of helpful teachers. All staff is determined to make our school clean and fun.
