Bella Vista is a great school! The teachers are very helpful, welcoming, and comforting. There are so many class options that really help cater to my needs, and prioritize the subjects that I’m really interested in. The world language classes and VAPA classes are my personal favorites. I’ve been able to take Japanese for the past three years, which is an opportunity that not many other schools get. I’ve also been able to try my hand at ceramics, and have been given the tools, instruction, and freedom to create my own ideas out of clay. The school itself is very welcoming, and students are very active in school activities. There are many opportunities to get involved at the school, through clubs, rowdy rooters, link crew, student government, and many more. I’d suggest this school to anyone thinking about going here. It’s an all-around amazing school, and my time here has been very enjoyable!
Bella Vista has so many amazing qualities! It’s accepting and academically focused and the teachers are true educators. Yet Bella Vista drives so much towards AP classes and more science class rooms that we’ve cut so many extra curricular classes like workshop, some art classes, and other trade programs. Many students who don’t want to follow the traditional 4 or 2 year college program are left in an environment where they feel stuck. They feel trapped because they don’t have any other classes besides academic ones.
Bella Vista High School is a decent school that has potential to be great. The students that attend this high school are usually friendly and fun to be around. At Bella Vista academics are definitely taken seriously by most students. This is almost as given as the school offers various honors and AP classes, with there being around 20 different AP classes offered. While many students at Bella Vista choose to take these classes, the emphasis on learning is usually offset as many students strive to overload themselves with AP and honors courses to appeal to colleges, not for the sake of education. While this emphasis on challenge is great, the student learning atmosphere at Bella Vista could be far more positive if students aimed for education rather than college approval. Bella Vista also has many interesting clubs, however, these clubs rarely meet and many students join these clubs in order to appeal to colleges. Sports at Bella Vista are very average as well with some good teams.
