From Belen Jesuit Preparatory School

The Society of Jesus (the Jesuits) founded El Colegio de Belén in 1854 in Havana, Cuba. In 1961, when Belén and all private schools were confiscated by the new political regime, the school was re-established in Miami that same year and has grown over the last six decades.

Currently, enrollment is nearly 1,400 male students in grades 6 to 12 and Belen has over 7,500 alumni throughout the world. Belen Jesuit strives to educate its young men in the Jesuit tradition and instills the core values of Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam, Magis, and Cura Personalis in all aspects of student life. We offer a challenging college preparatory curriculum and an array of extracurricular academic teams and clubs, 47 sports teams/ 15 different sports, and an 11:1 student to teacher ratio. Our 34-acre campus includes two chapels, a theater, a gymnasium, a STEAM center, a science building, an aquatic center, multiple fields, and an observatory.
