The food in the cafeteria is decent. The school within the past few years that I have been involved with have received money from the federal government's effort to create healthier lunches. Not everyone is happy with these options though, many students recieve douple amounts of food, snacks, and drinks which cost more money which causes them to use their lunch account money in fewer days. The school does offer free or reduced prices for lunches if familes make less than they can afford to pay for lunch. However, students are limited to what they can get for lunch if they recieve free lunch, they must have money with them to buy extra things including bottled water, or even an extra serving of food. I have noticed that the school will replace students with alleriges such as lactose intolerance with almond milk, which replaces regular milk which is included with the price of regular lunches. I know that the lunch ladies want to provide students with enough food to eat for lunch. I even heard a lunch lady offer to pay for a student to get extra food!
