Beavercreek High School Reviews
Rating 3.82 out of 5 424 reviews
I had both highs and lows during my three years at Beavercreek High School. I'm relieved to have more pleasant memories than unpleasant ones. Being able to cheer for the three years of football and basketball games was one of the nicest experiences I've ever had. The best times I ever had were those. Developing a solid relationship with the administration was another positive experience I had. We were able to resolve the issues even though I got off to a rough start with some of the administration. Those are the most significant and helpful persons I currently have in my life. Now, one drawback of my high school was that it did nothing to address prejudice when it affected children of color.
I came into Beavercreek High School as a Junior and they had every class that I wanted to take. I was taking very advanced classes including 5 AP classes and every one was accommodated. The teachers were all very engaging, and I was able to succeed very well in each course I took. I also had the opportunity to compete on the track and soccer team at the school. Both teams were very competitive, and the track team was able to win a conference title as well as send multiple students to the state and national circuit. My experience at Beavercreek High School has been both extremely rewarding and formative.
My favorite parts about Beavercreek High School are their concert band and marching band programs. I have had a wonderful experience with amazing band directors. Through the band program, I've had the chance to learn so much, become a leader, and have tons of fun. Something I do not like about Beavercreek High School is their lack of effort to accommodate students with mental health issues. Nowadays, many teens struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, and high amounts of stress. The only thing the school has done is show us a power point with unhelpful tips such as "breathe" or "take a break."
