It was pretty good! For the most part, my teachers were open and kind, and the students were some of the most polite for all the schools and states I've lived in. A little more involvement in the students lives (reaching out to troubled kids) and more oversight on teachers (there were more than one times where it was obvious a teacher didn't enjoy their job or were unable/unwilling to do it properly with little repercussion). Otherwise, there were plenty of activities to join in on, and a good diversity of classes.
Overall, my experience at Beavercreek High School was great! Most of my teachers were very helpful and taught very well. I made many friends, since it is such a big school. A thing I would change about the high school is better teachers. Most teachers were great, but some lacked the helpfulness and motivation a teacher should have. The bathrooms also need to be updated, half the time the sinks do not work and at least one stall was out of order in each bathroom. Let us not end on a bad note, those problems did not hinder my experiences there. Beavercreek High School is a great place to learn and socialize. That school holds some of my best memories.
My experience at BHS has been quite a journey. Between teachers, workload, safety, diversity, and more, the school excels further in certain areas than others. For instance, although the teachers are not all equally dedicated to the enlightenment of their students, BHS is a school I can always feel safe in. I believe there is always room for improvement; however, ever since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in the spring of 2020, I have never been more impressed with the school that I had been attending for the past three years.
When the lockdown was finally over, strict precautions were set to ensure safety while making sure that students attending school both traditionally and virtually were receiving the education required to be successful. Several times, the virus caused the administration to quarantine students and switch to remote learning. However, the efforts made by the administration to keep the school running and the students/staff safe have been truly impressive.
