No school is perfect, but Beavercreek High School comes pretty close. The students create a supportive, welcoming environment, especially for all of the military move-in students we get through Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Academics are taken seriously and our principal, Mr. Caras, always finds a way to motivate the students, whether it be through his crazy haircuts in support of athletics, or his highlighter-orange sneakers he wears in school spirit.

The teachers and faculty at Beavercreek really care about the students in the school. When I had a question or needed help I was comfortable talking to my teachers, counselors, etc. I always felt safe in the building during school hours as well as while attending school activities / functions / sporting events. In this crazy world today it is important that students feel safe and comfortable in their learning environment. Beavercreek offered a wide variety of sports, clubs, activities so everyone could find something that fit their interests.
Beavercreek High school, while excelling in academic achievement, was dulled by the overwhelming indifference expressed by the majority of the teaching staff. Throughout my four years at Beavercreek High School, I couldn't help but feel that the majority of teachers I had on a yearly basis expressed little enthusiasm when it came to their duty as educator, showing up to work to keep on track with the mandated curriculum and nothing more. The curriculum itself was, for the most part, very solid and is why the school has exceptional academic ranking. I did have one or two teachers each year that stood out and notably put in the extra effort to make an impression in a student's life.

The school spirit and cultural diversity left much to desire, but our sports were above average the school was adequately funded to properly a staff and provide supplies for bodies of studies of about 500-700 kids per class level.
