Not worth the money. The school sold itself as being a creative, involved community, but that seems to be more of a cover for the fact that there just is not that much of an expectation on the academic front. Parents tend to send their children here because they would "get lost" at a larger public school, not because their child is quiet, but really because they are lazy and need to be hovered over by the teachers. (e.i. The school does not offer AP courses because of a lack of demand.) The teachers are fine, but nothing special. Our daughter switched to public school, which resulted in a much more rigorous curriculum and a much more diligent and down-to-earth peer group and just as many activities. Now that I look back at it, enrolling her in Beaver was silly.

Innovative mindset, creative courses, interdisciplinary education, and a true community of students, Beaver Country Day School is just the most fantastic school to attend. I am so grateful for all of the opportunities that I have been able to take advantage of that Beaver's opened the doors for. The faculty doesn't just teach facts, they really dig into the meaning behind what we are learning, and always assign really unique and challenging projects. The Performing Arts Department is also a stand-out program at Beaver. I'd honestly recommend this school to everyone.
I graduated from beaver in 2019 and I think about it every day. It taught me how to think differently and engage with all kinds of people. It is not your average high school, students are seen as so much more than just numbers. It is evident that teachers genuinely care about students and are incredibly well-versed in their subject. Beaver offers incredible amounts of opportunities, and each and every student takes a unique path at Beaver, with tons of support along the way.
