Beacon Charter School was an incredibly supportive, enriching environment.
Focusing on three arts majors, the school really challenges students to become their most genuine and successful selves.
In state standardized testing, Beacon repeatedly placed within the top five schools in the state. They value their students and understand that extra patience, care, and acceptance goes a long way in how their students perform in school and in their personal lives.

The staff and teachers were all very intelligent and caring people. With the small number of students, they are able to get to know each student personally and tailor their school experience to be as beneficial as possible. Students came from all areas of the state, from every cultural and religious background imaginable. And the incredible support offered to LGBTQ students is unparalleled.

Beacon has changed my life for the better. Although some may dislike the school for their own personal reasons I love the school. When I first went into high school I wanted to drop out and have nothing to do with college. This school made me want to graduate and go on to college and earn a Masters degree eventually. The classes are just the right size and teachers get to spend one on one time with all the students. Everyone knows everything which can be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it. The school is flooded with artistic students and the academic portion is amazing. These teachers get us students, they are very accommodating and accepting. You can be who you are. Of course there is drama like any high school, but beacon is different. Beacon has saved my career and I will forever be thankful and love my school. I am honored to be a member of Thespian Troupe 7444 and a Beacon Knight.
Beacon Charter High School is a wonderful school filled with diversity and freedom of expression. The faculty and staff treat students with compassion and care and help them to succeed, not only school but in their outside lives as well. Students are free to express themselves through their artwork which is displayed all throughout the school. This school is a non judgmental/ bullying zone, where students feel comfortable and safe when they are attending classes. The warm and caring environment of the school allows students to focus on their studies and artwork and to work towards graduation. As a former student who has since graduated and is now attending The University of Hawaii, I am very thankful for the opportunities the school gave me, and for the loving and compassionate staff who helped me reach my goals.
