My experience at Baystate Academy charter public school have been a really tough long journey. Ever since I attended Baystate in 7th grade I have found it more difficult because I had just moved from Africa to the United States so It was had for me to fit in; and on top of that I didn’t know as much like everyone else. I had to work harder and try to keep up. Baystate Academy is nothing like any other high schools. However, what I like most about it is how they generally cared about our future goals and prepare us for the next chapter of our lives. But what I would like to see changed or improved is the amount of sports. Baystate has less sports and sometimes when a student comes to Baystate they tend to switch to a different school because Baystate don’t have enough sports or they don’t have the sports that the students prefer. But other than that the school has really shaped me as an individual, taught me well, and have gotten me ready for the next chapter of my life.

Baystate Academy has been a very major part of my life since I first attended in 6th grade. I used to be a very quiet kid, I'd never really interact with anybody and I tried my best to stay out of the spotlight. As I've met new people and formed new relationships in the academic setting I've become more social, my self-confidence has dramatically increased and everybody treats me like I belong here. If there was something I would change, it would be to have the students be more involved in the development of school events and have an organized student body that can help make major decisions.
Being a student a BACPS is gaining another family. Teachers, administrators, and other staff member care about every student
They are preparing us for a better future for yourself.
