Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School Reviews
Rating 3.91 out of 5 160 reviews
Bay Path is a vocational/technical school, which is great if you want to go directly into the workforce after school but worse if you want to go to college. There are no real foreign language, music, or art classes, mostly because shop takes up so much time. There are some really great teachers and some really terrible teachers, so it's pretty half-and-half on whether or not you'll get a good teacher. It's definitely better than the high school in my town, David Prouty, but otherwise it's pretty average.
As a vocational school, Bay Path offers the best trade curriculums in the area. They may lack in the sports department, with exclusive participation in lesser divisions than the surrounding high schools, but they make up for it in their dedication to preparing students for work in their own vocation. I was enrolled in the electrical shop, and though I’m taking the time to go to college, I gained a lot of experience and hours that I can later put towards my journeyman’s license. Many students graduate with some type of relevant certification in their trade, that they can immediately put to use through the co-op program. I also had great teachers every year, and had the opportunity to take several AP classes that I can use as credit for my college career. I’m glad that I went to Bay Path because I feel like it set me up very well for life after high school.
Bay Path is a vocational school, and as such provides many opportunities for its students to enter the workforce during school. Many trade areas provide jobs for students where they can get paid during school hours. The school provides a diverse array of over 20 vocations.
Academics are also well at the school. The school provides many AP courses for students who want to further their education. The school is also well-funded, so their are plenty of supplies for students.
There are also many extracurricular activities and sports at Bay Path. They provide students with some fun activities after school.
One negative thing about the school is the lack of non-academic classes. There are no classes the students can take besides math, science, english, and history. This makes it so the school day can become tiring at times,
