Our family made the switch from a large public school to BACS over 8 years ago. I was a little unsure about the change, but it is hands down the best decision our family has made! The faculty and staff is loving and caring, and has high expectations for their students. The Athletic programs are excellent, and the Fine Arts Programs have won superior ratings at most of their contests and festivals, and have recently upgraded and renovated their space. In addition, classes like Digital Media provide hands on, real world design experience for students who are interested. True Christ centered, biblical education is promoted here, as well as high academic rigor. There is something for everyone At BACS!
We have been involved with the school for 12 years now. We have loved every aspect of the school. The environment is super friendly! The staff is incredible! The teachers are so helpful and willing to help your child with any aspect, academically or socially! We are very involved with sport in our family. The positive encouragement and high standard of excellence on and off the field is so important to us in the growth and development of our children. The coaches here hold that in such high regards and we appreciate that.
My school was a private Christian school that sought to give children a more advanced education while also teaching Biblical principles. A majority of the teachers were genuinely caring and supportive; it was evident they cared a lot about their career and how they were helping students. However, at times I feel like they weren't really educating us about the Bible as well as they potentially could have. At times some of the lessons were vague and others had been drilled into us to the point that they lost meaning. Some examples of these lessons were ones such as "God forgives" and " God disapproves of homosexuality and premarital sex". I would like to see my school take more of an active effort to bring meaning and more explanation to their lessons instead of just repeating themselves and assuming we have gathered anything from it.
