From Battery Park Montessori
Battery Park Montessori is a trilingual (English, Spanish and Mandarin) Montessori Nursery Ones through Kindergarten, serving children ages 1-5 years and located in Battery Park City. Our school sits right on the Hudson River, surrounded by trees and bathed in sunlight. Children see the Statue of Liberty from our wall-sized windows and enjoy indoor and outdoor learning in a serene waterside haven.
Upcoming Events
Trilingual Language Immersion
Our trilingual language program complements a young childβs natural predisposition to new sounds and rhythms. Children learn from Montessori-trained teachers who are native Spanish and Mandarin speakers and who fully engage the children in daily conversations, singing, and vocabulary.

Battery Park Montessori is a very special place for us and our child! Impressive, educational and you feel unlike any other school we have encountered. Our son become so advanced in many aspects because this school allows children to move ahead regardless of age. They truly care about every child as an individual. Another huge advantage of Battery Park Montessori is the languages that kids can lean with native english, mandarin and spanish Montessori certified teachers! We definitely recommend this school as the best in NYC!
Our family has deep respect, love and admiration for Battery Park Montessori! This school is a true gem. Our first son attended preschool here and his experience at BPM continues to be the best education experience we've had to date. (We've since relocated, had two more children and attended three other schools.)
BPM is purposeful and thoughtful with everything they do. They embrace early childhood education and it's evident that careful consideration is given to each decision the school makes.
We're still searching for a school that can hold a candle to BPM. From the morning greeting at the start of the day, to intentional conversation on our son's level, to a shared snack that he helped to prepare, to complex yet age-appropriate coursework - the list could go on and on.
Not once did we worry about something happening at school that might be handled in a way we didn't agree with. It was quite the opposite. We trusted BPM completely and we love being a part of their family.

Battery Park Montessori is the best Montessori school we have experienced in New York and abroad.
The natural light, outdoor space and amazing location near the water make this school stand out. The atmosphere inside is serene and children working quietly and peacefully.
The teaching staff impressed us by their profound knowledge of Montessori, going beyond regular care givers and demonstrating knowledge and practice of the latest childhood development studies. My son was singing in Mandarin and Spanish, his favourite language at the time. All in all, he was exposed to four languages which has been extremely beneficial to him.
The sense of community at Battery Park Montessori is very strong and the families joining are both diverse in background and united in terms of mindset.
My son attended for two years, between the age of 2 and almost up to the age of 4. We left only because we had to relocate abroad. My son still says he misses his school from New York.
