Battery Creek High School is a very vibrant school with a diverse student and faculty body. I've been at this wonderful school since 2014, and there are so many great opportunities to explore new activities have come my way. The teachers are great people to talk to, so you'll have a great time while learning. Also, the guidance counselors are just amazing! If I ever needed help with scholarships, college questions or if I just really needed someone to talk to, the guidance counselors at this great school are always there to help! Once again, this is an astounding school with so many opportunities of advancement.

This is my last year at Battery Creek. Recently, my school had a new principle. From the moment he came into his position, I saw immediate changes. He truly cares for our students and is willing to go the extra mile to see each of us to succeed! The creek is on the rise!
Battery Creek is the most diverse high school in Beaufort County, featuring the most balanced demographic. The new CATE (Career and Technology Education) building is an asset to the school. The building contains welding, culinary, engineering, and agriculture programs. Creek has a large amount of clubs to join, ok sports teams to be a part of, and an overall nice campus. The library is fantastic, with great staff and technology. Overall, a good school. I'd have to say that disorganization and bureaucracy are its greatest downfalls. Confusion sets in quickly when different administrators tell teachers different things. Being in a poorer area also contributes to some frustrations among teachers, who often have to fill the gaps left in the education of some students. For example, reteaching basic math and reading skills not taught in elementary school or at home. There is a lack of parent involvement, but you can't force someone to be an active part of their child's education.
