Our son is currently in the 2nd grade. He has been at the school for two years, and it has been a wonderful experience. The enthusiasm of the teachers, who are truly experts in the subjects they teach, is infectious. They consistently set high standards for all students at every stage of their academic career. This is a school that prioritizes academics and the students themselves; it is targeted to students with intellectual curiosity and a strong work ethic. We are very happy here!

Although drawn to the quality of academic programs and rigor, we were not sure about sending our child to high school at Basis McLean mainly due to the relative limited history of progress of this local campus and some of the reported growing pains that we had read. After talking to some of the existing and recently moved out parents and conducting our due diligence, we decided to move forward and enroll our child for the 9th grade. We believe that was the right decision and are quite happy with the quality of the education that our son is receiving so far. We feel it's all upside from here.
Wait, wait, wait. That is all we ever get from this school. The days are full of nothing but rushing through intense academics. Then the kids have to go home to do hours of homework. Teachers are overtaxed and cannot spend time helping kids understand the material Every time parents ask for something from the school, we are told it will be available when the school reaches the 700 student mark. All their efforts are on recruitment of kids but nothing to build a stable or nurturing environment. Your child may be ready for this school, but this school is not ready for your child.
