Overall, BASIS Chandler is a great school academic-wise, unfortunately the school doesn't offer a true high school experience. A school with roughly 1,000 students distributed from 5th grade to 12th grade can never prepare a student enough for the experiences they'll have in college. There are very limited extracurricular activities for students and when they come about there is very little school spirit. BASIS Chandler is great to prepare you for colleges academic rigor but doesn't succeed in preparing students for social environments.

This school is for hard workers who are willing to put in most of their year studying for advanced classes. This school does prepare you for college and makes taking college credit classes and getting into good colleges amazing, but this is for the students who have stayed at the school until their final year (most students leave due to the rigor of the curriculum). The community is pretty good, especially nice students and the teachers. Would not recommend this school to most kids, however.
It's a small school, but if that is something you like then it's the right place for you. A benefit of this is the relationships you can build with your teachers and the individual support you receive. The teachers here are what made my experience as great as it was. They are so passionate about teaching that they will work with you one-on-one as much as they possibly can to get you to succeed, as long as you're willing to learn and put in the work too. They're also great at keeping the class engaged and cooperative. For high school especially, it's important to have amazing teachers like the ones at BASIS Chandler so they can guide you and help you on your path to college.
