My oldest son is now in 11th Grade and said even if we moved he would want to travel to school to eventually Graduate here. He loves his teachers, classes, gets excellent grades and is excited to be in the IB program getting college ready and college credits! The counselors there are so caring and pay attention to each student to make sure if a certain class does not seem to be a good fit to the student they will help get them into a class that is a good fit. My son has done after school clubs with only positive things to say. He loves Breakfast Club too for extra credit or to just get caught up if behind! His teachers stay after school available if a student needs to make up a test or redo a test. My younger son just started and so far is excited with his classes and to be there!

Basic is a great school for those seeking higher education. My peers are going across the country to prestigious universities, and doing so is encouraged. Athletics are top notch with coaches that sincerely care for the welfare and development of student athletes. Basic is home to many state champions, including the state and national powerhouse which is the baseball program. With little acceptions, students will be pushed to achieve their highest potential, and many succeed at doing so. Go Wolves!
At Basic Academy I believe I experience the average high school experience. I show up to school on time everyday and have decent attendance. I participate in some school events and did four years of volleyball at the school. Most of the staff and teachers treat the students with respect. But like all things there are exceptions. My counselor can be very rude without any reason. I understand that her job is hard and that she deals with disrespectful teenagers all day, however, that doesn’t mean that she should get to disrespect me. At the beginning of this year she messed up my schedule three times and it took me talking to her, her rejecting me, and a parent teacher conference to fix it. A counselor is someone you should be able to go to for guidance, but with mine, kids are either are scared to talk to her or experience many issues. I have talked to many of my peers about this issue and I know at least five other students in my class who have this specific counselor and agree.
