One of the things I love most about Basha is the teachers and administrators. It’s very apparent that they are passionate about not only education, but the personal lives of their students. Despite being largely under compensated and accepting some of the lowest salaries in the country among school employees, they come to school with smiles, enthusiasm, and passion to spare. I have them to thank for much of the success of my high school career. A great example of an enthusiastic teacher who motivates her students to take control of their futures is my current English teacher, Mrs. Erica Davis, who was recently selected as an Arizona Educational Foundation's Ambassador for Excellence. She has been a huge help to me and my classmates as we progress on our journeys to college, through critiquing personal statement essays, walking us through college-level literary analysis papers, and always encouraging us to apply for scholarships and college applications.

I wasn't supposed to go to this school, but after taking a tour of the campus with the athletic director, I knew it was where I would want to go! The teachers are incredible and admin did this cool thing this year where they put signs in front of students' homes that got college credit for passed AP tests! It really showed they cared. Admin also has a very big positive presence on campus and makes it known that they care about the students and their successes. It's a great school in a great area!
I love how welcoming the students and faculty are! The food served in the cafeteria is wonderful, and the facilities provided are great. The teachers will always do everything they can to help their students.
