The faculty at BHS is very nice. They actually care about their students and their jobs. They are engaging and supportive and want you to succeed. The guidance office is absolutely wonderful! They can help you with anything and everything-even nonschool related. There is a wide-range of personalities, but not any diversity. This school has a good environment and is involved in the community.
BHS is known for its strong academics -- most parents move here because of the public school system. However, it should be noted that these OPPORTUNITIES HAVE TO BE TAKEN BY THE STUDENTS. I've seen some people just slack off because they feel entitled to good grades, just because their parents are fairly wealthy. It's upsetting to see the unhealthy attitude people have towards academics: Some don't try, while others put so much pressure on themselves that they end up being a nervous wreck. I wish the school offered more guidance/advice/assemblies trying to get to students and explain this to them.

That aside, though, BHS is a great school. There are solid academics (if you choose to engage in them), a nice building and good clubs. Of sports I know nothing, but the people around me seem to enjoy them. School pride is fairly strong around here. There are some bad teachers, of course, but most are good. Some really challenge you in the best possible way. :)
I think the education at Barrington High School is outstanding. The school ensures that students have the opportunity to challenge themselves, and it prepares students well for college. There is also a wide range of extracurricular activities that are offered, as well as many interesting electives that allow students to explore different career paths that they may be interested in. Speaking from personal experience, Barrington High School has allowed me to take several classes that are specific to my interests, enabling me to make connections with other students and develop relationships with teachers that may be able to help me with my future endeavors in college. As far as the negatives of Barrington High School, I would say that the student body tends to form cliques that do not often interact with each other. At school events such as dances or pep rallies, the different groups that students divide themselves into are clear. However, overall I would consider Barrington High School to be a great learning environment for students that prepares them for college and real world experience a
