Barrington High School provides all students with the tools necessary to be successful in whichever post-secondary educational opportunity they chose to explore. The teachers are passionate about their jobs and work hard to meet the needs of all students. Both before and after school help is offered. The school's National Honor Society also provides free tutoring opportunities every day during study periods and four days a week at the public library. The school culture is incredibly welcoming and supportive of all newcomers. There are a wide range of sports offered and numerous clubs that meet a wide range of interests. Whether those interests be art, writing, debate, law, business, math, medicine, etc., there truly is a place for everyone. As the number one public school in the state, and in the top 200 in the nation, any parent would be hard pressed to find a better district to live in.

Extremely competitive and proud atmosphere, but the school sure deserves to be proud of itself. Academically, no school in Rhode Island can compare, except for maybe the top private schools. Miles ahead of any school in the state for STEM, with multiple computer and CAD classes/labs, with all the newest tech - 3D Printers, Laser Cutters, Robotics, you name it.

The student body tends to be nice in general. I've seen bullying but have not experienced it. From what I can see, if you're a socialite and want to associate with a lot of friends and party hard, you'll fit right in with the popular crowd. If you just want to be a normal student with a close group of friends, you'll also fit right in. Even if you're not exactly the most social person, there really aren't any traditional "bullies" here at all. Unless you act really annoying or otherwise stand out in a negative light, people will generally ignore you and not give you any trouble.
I believe that barrington high school is a place that students are pushed to strive for success and to overcome difficult obstacles in their paths. I believe that barrington high gives students the resources needed to achieve greatness in school however there are some cases where students are less enthusiastic about school than they should be and the teachers won’t do anything about it, causing a disruption in their class and failing to provide the education to these disruptive students, along with the students around these select individuals.
