I have been attending Barack Obama Academy of International Studies since the 6th grade. During my time here I have noticed many positive but also negative things regarding academics, administration, teachers, and just the school overall. One extremely positive aspect about this school is that it has an IB curriculum. Being involved the International Baccalaureate program has really taught me differently than most public schools and has put me ahead of most high school students throughout the state. But one negative has been the Administration. Of course our Administration is extremely involved with the students but there have been many cases where they should have either reacted differently or taken a different route rather than what they chose. But overall, my experience with Barack Obama Academy of International Studies has been positive. This school has really brought me out of my shell and has prepared me for my future beyond high school.

This school is absolutely perfect! The diversity among the students has allowed my child to strive for new culture. The academics at this school are beyond extraordinary. Teaching my child the hardness and readiness for college. Thanks to Obama, my child is now in their 3rd year at Harvard Law School. Truly amazing! LONG LIVE OBAMA
I have attended Obama since 6th grade. It is by far the best decision I have ever made to go here. The administration has always been amazing, and the amount of activities for students is unsurpassed. Diversity in the school is amazing, and it carries over from grade to grade and can be seen in every level of class (which is not always the case). The student body is enthusiastic and I have had amazing teachers every year. The IB classes that ALL students take are fantastic for college prep and readiness. I have always felt comfortable in the school since day one and the staff is extremely devoted to the students at the school. I never would have expeted to end up here, but I sure am glad I chose it over schools like CAPA, Allderdice, and Sci-Tech.
