My time as a high school student at Banks High School was, more-or-less, average I would say. Nothing really jumps out to me as being overtly wonderful or terrible. I would note, that there were definitely "bad crowds" you wouldn't want to be associated with during my years of schooling there. However in all honesty, every school is gonna have it's fair share of bad crowds. Faculty was nice. The academics side of things was average; plenty of high level classes for those willing to challenge themselves, along with an average selection of AP classes (Calc, Lit, Psych, Bio...). I will say though, the "media-type" classes (Graphic Design, Media Arts, etc) seemed to get progressively more love during my time there; they were given more tech and tools to work with, which was nice to see. That pretty much concludes my "review"... I have nothing else really much to say other than, "Go Braves!"
Banks High School is a small school, which is reflected in the limited options of advanced courses or electives. The teachers genuinely care about the students and most students know all of their classmates. The cafeteria food isn't great, but there are some good restaurants within walking distance of the school.
The teachers and staff are the best. I enjoyed several extracurricular activities such as FFA, leadership, and National Honor Society.
