Bandon High School is place of athletics. All the coaches for each sport team pushes you to work your hardest and to succeed. With academics, there are challenging classes for juniors and seniors, but in your first 2-years of high school, you sort of goof off within your classes. The teachers push you to learn and study. However, the underclass group of students, are the worst students in Bandon history which will have the lowest test scores on state testing than other classes before them.
Bandon Senior High School is a small school environment with teachers that seem are more often than not comfortable to be around. However, this school offers very little opportunities for its students, and the majority of teachers seem lackluster in their jobs and willingness to provide and care. There are very few elective classes, and the ones offered limit the student's creativity far too much. The community in the school system right now is fairly behind in their ways of thinking and their diversity is incredibly low, but I have hopes that this will change. They do not provide nearly enough college-ready opportunities or assistance, either, which has made my college prep very difficult.
There is no real challenge. There are not many extracurriculars and AP classes. As a result, the GPA is unweighted.
