Ballard High School is about average as high schools go. It's not bad, but I definitely wouldn't want to go anywhere else. I would suggest taking as many advanced and AP classes as you can while maintaining your mental health. The best teachers teach the hardest classes and the best, most hardworking students are in those classes as well. I've taken a very rigorous courseload while at Ballard and I'm very glad I did. Outside of academics, however, there is a lot going on at Ballard! Get involved! One of my biggest regrets as a senior is not participating in more clubs as an underclassman. Ballard is a huge school -- over 2000 students -- and you should take advantage of the opportunities that come with that.

Ballard is an extremely openminded and unique school with supportive students and staff that are looking to help everyone reach their goals. The close relationships between students and teachers aids students in maximizing their accomplishments. Ballard is a judge free zone where everyone is free to be who they desire. Students have a wide variety of classes, activities, and extracurriculars to get involved with which helps create the ideal well rounded student that colleges and universities are looking for. Ballard definitely prepares students for the future with their AP course options. High school is a growing experience both intellectually and mentally for all students, and Ballard offers the perfect balance of support to be successful in the future.
My daughter really enjoyed her time at Ballard. She has graduated ready for college. One of the things that it would be nice to see happen at Ballard is the school spirit. Though it has gotten better under the new administration, the lack of school spirit was a disappointment for my daughter. Otherwise, Ballard was a great experience! B R U I N S BRUINS!
