Ballard High School is about average as high schools go. It's not bad, but I definitely wouldn't want to go anywhere else. I would suggest taking as many advanced and AP classes as you can while maintaining your mental health. The best teachers teach the hardest classes and the best, most hardworking students are in those classes as well. I've taken a very rigorous courseload while at Ballard and I'm very glad I did. Outside of academics, however, there is a lot going on at Ballard! Get involved! One of my biggest regrets as a senior is not participating in more clubs as an underclassman. Ballard is a huge school -- over 2000 students -- and you should take advantage of the opportunities that come with that.

I enjoyed my theatre and choir experiences more than anything! The teachers (Mrs. Anderson and Mr. Weaver) were very invloved in student's lives in making sure they were okay mentally and with their school work. Neverless, their teachings i believe have helped me to prepare for my college experience with rehearsals and readiness due to the fact i will be majoring in Musical Theatre.
Ballard High school was a very interesting school that I attended during my academic career. I not only gained new friendships and experiences, but I was given an education that has prepaired me for college. I am very thankful that I had the opportunity to be taught at a good public school in Jefferson county. The AP program was very helpful for me because it has given me a little slice of what college will be like. Every class that I have been enrolled in helped me to expand my knowledge and learning skills. I felt that my teachers cared about me and my peers and helped us to the max. I would highly recommend this school to parents who are looking for an outstanding high school for their children to attend. Go Bruins!
