I genuinely enjoyed my experience at Ballard High School. Personally, my favorite part was the openness to diversity. We had 4 years of Japanese language classes (including the AP class), liberal-minded teachers and faculty, and room to open any club you pleased. There was everything from a gaming club, to a K-Pop club, to even a Sneaker-lovers club! Thus, it was easy to find like-minded people. I like the campus with a gorgeous courtyard right in the middle. The weakest part of Ballard would be the cleanliness ( it is a public school, after all), and the mental health coordinators. I have noticed, however, that the mental health help at Ballard has gotten better over the 4 years I attended there.
A schools environment is a crucial component of learning it can influence how well a student learns. Ballard provides a safe environment to nurture and grow emotionally, behaviorally and academically. Ballard High School is a place where I not only get educated but also have an opportunity to learn competitive skills like sports, music and art.
Ballard’s atmosphere is very pleasant it offers a strong feeling of security with the strict adherence to discipline. School safety has been a big concern for almost all school districts across the nation in recent years. The majority of the staff prides itself on being efficient, the openness to embrace principles of inclusion; equity and diversity lessen the effects of the outside community violence and keep the inside of our school violence free.
Ballard overall is great school!

I am a recent graduate of Ballard High School and I love this school. I was challenged every year with difficult classes and prepared for AP exams. The school is diverse, and students are encouraged to speak up and provide input to administrators and staff. Athletics and the Arts are highly regarded and students are given freedom to create their own paths and work with their counselors to find what works best for them. I feel prepared for the next four years at college and beyond!
