Baldwin Park High School is a diverse public school in terms of faculty, staff, and students. We have students who come from all walks of life - students who are first-generation high school graduates, come from immigrant families/immigrants themselves, nomads, etc. Throughout my four years of high school, my teachers have impacted my academic and personal life with their support and overall character. There are clubs such as NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Health) Club, Photography Club, Leo Club, National Honors Society, Key Club, Student Outreach, and so much more that are all directed towards any student's interest(s). Regarding academics, college courses are also offered for college-level math and English classes. There are tutoring sessions for specific days of the week after school and are divided based on class or subject.

There used to be a lot of fights in my school, but ever since the new principal came, it have long ceased. The food is very good sometimes, they offer hot links on Monday, tacos on Tuesday, and mashed potatoes on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday are just generic lunch food, not worth mention. Taking math is extremely fun especially if you are a junior or senior taking Pre-Calculus or Calculus. Yes, the teachers are very strict sometimes, but that is because they care about your education. I have not met a teacher that does not care about their students...well maybe except for substitutes. Even then, some substitutes are very kind.
My experience at Baldwin Park High School was different throughout the years. During freshman year, I was very ill informed and totally lost. Sophomore year was one of my best years because I joined the swim team. Junior year was my worst year because it was extremely stressful. Senior year was, by far, my best year because I attended several school activities and was far more happier. If there was anything I would change, it would definitely be more health groups to discuss anything students are going through, for example, domestic abuse or parent's divorce. Overall, my experience varied but I wouldn't be who I am today if it wasn't for this school.
