Baccalaureate School for Global Education is a great school for those focused primarily on academics. Students are very intelligent and have great grades. Teachers give tons of work and lots of the students life revolves around school. However, this is good because it adequately prepares students for what is to come during college. Peter Willson, the college advisor, hosts a summer program after junior year which excellently readies students for the college process in senior year. In accordance to school culture, there are often dances every couple months held in the lunch room which are a good stress reliever from all the work. In addition, the school is somewhat diverse with most kids being asian, some white and or hispanic and very few African American students. One negative about the school is that there are few sports programs that students can attend because the school is very small (about 500 students).

Overall, this school provided me with an excellent understanding of the diversity of the world's populations and problems. The teachers and administrators were extremely intelligent and engaged individuals. The only drawback is the lack of resources/facilities such as a gymnasium or outdoor space!
Being a student at the Baccalaureate School For Global Education since the 7th grade, I have encountered nothing but positive experiences from my time in the school. Frequently, I found myself speaking to various teachers about their classes and as a result, building strong relationships with my instructors. With about 450 enrolled, class sizes are small thus allowing strong relationships to be nurtured. Furthermore, working towards the International Baccalaureate Diploma, I have learned a set of skills that are truly influential to my further studies in college. Going through rigorous assignments and having an idea of how to conduct extensive research are just two of the various skills that are incubated during an IB students career. Altogether, the rigorous academics and the wonderful social environment are two characteristics that I think make BSGE a phenomenal choice for students who are interested in intellectual growth and preparation for the real world.
