Ayden-Grifton High School is a fairly small school with under a thousand students. It is very easy to get around due to its compact, box-shaped layout. The teachers are good, I have not had a teacher that I hated, which is definitely a plus. There is not a shortage of work if you are looking for it. You will find yourself with your hands quite full if you take full AP/Honors classes. It is pretty clean other than the bathrooms, but that is to be expected. I have had a pretty positive experience at Ayden-Grifton HIgh School therefore I believe it is a 4/5 star school.

I loved sports and in-class experiences. Whether it was taking notes or attending practice, I enjoyed every minute of it. Everyone was so helpful. I met many friends who I still am spending time with. The facilities were poor just because of how old the school was. Despite that, I loved everything else. All of our equipment was pretty new. This went for sports and inside the classroom.
My son recently graduated and he is planning on attending college after a year considering other options, military, work or help at his family's farm. While a student, he became interested in both Drama and Orchestra and had great mentors with both programs. He did well on his SAT's and placed out of the classes required to start on college credit courses. The fact that a school is not in a affluent suburb, near a major city with teacher salaries well above average, is no indication of the quality of one's education.
