Aveson School of Leaders Reviews

1 review
Aveson has a lot going for it on paper, the campus is nice but it faces an overwhelming amount of challenges. The new Executive Director is working on cleaning up many of the issues, it's an uphill battle and she's already tired to leave her position once, in her first year on the job. Communication is a huge issue, it's inconsistent or non-existent; the CEO doesn't have an e-mail address or phone number. If you have any concerns, administration is not receptive to answering. Their Conscious Discipline Policy is ineffective, poorly implemented and executed, the current school culture is nurturing bullying, there's not been any recourse besides a group of parents trying to get attention at Board Meetings. If your child requires an IEP or any Special Ed/Inclusion Services, be very, very careful here! Know your parental rights and IDEA, you'll have to really advocate for your child. Questioning training, credentials and experience is required here!
