My experience at Aurora Central High School has been an amazing and wild ride that will come to an emotional end as my senior year will soon be over! I have made/met my lifelong friends and have had my ups and downs all throughout high school but I am truly happy to have chosen Central over any other school, the teachers/staff are always willing to help and no matter what, they will put their work aside to help any student in need! I would like to see the neighborhood support and funding change because we are the least funded aurora public high school, but that should soon change with all the future alumni scores!

I graduated from Aurora Central back in 2018. I was extremely involved: was in sports year-round, was in the leadership committee, and had friends from different clubs so I was able to know what went on and what could be improved. I loved the majority of the staff, but felt they were very restricted on what could be allowed, especially during my senior year where we were trying to make our last year the best year possible. My last two years there could have been better, but college classes were offered my last year there. Sometimes, I think students need to be told about the resources that they have instead of having to look for them because it can get stressful. Central is very VERY diverse, with students from different countries, speaking different languages. This of course makes it a bit difficult when it comes to college readiness. The school has definitely improved since I've last attended.
When I first got to Central I didn't know what to expect. This was because of the repretation it had in the community. But over the three years I have been here I have seen the compassion of teachers and the sense of community among its students. Yet no school is perfect and there are some things that need to be fixed. One of those things is providing more opportunities for their students to go to college. Another thing is really preparing the students for college as well. Overall, I can honestly say, I can't wait for school next year and wouldn't want it any other way.
