Augusta Preparatory Day School

What makes Augusta Prep standout from other schools? Plenty. For instance, children start learning chess in first grade to help develop their critical-thinking skills. We hold chess tournaments throughout the year for our Lower, Middle and Upper School students.

While all Augusta Prep students abide by our Honor Code, character education begins in our Lower School with our House system (four houses).

Augusta Prep offers small class sizes, which allows students the opportunity to learn in a comfortable setting, while also getting to know their teachers.

Our students are very active with extracurricular activities, like arts, cyber and robotics. In the Lower School, students can participate in cheerleading, cross country and flag football. In the Middle and Upper School, there's a smorgasbord of sports to choose from. Our varsity sports team have won 56 state championships and 159 region titles in the past six decades.
