August Knodt Elementary School Reviews

I attended AK for 6th to 8th grade (2012 - 2015). In 7th grade, we lost our math teacher who was reassigned to teach 3rd grade. In 8th grade, we had no science teacher and bounced from sub to sub (the science section of the STAR test that year had to have been awful). The teachers who DID stay were wonderful and, for the most part, felt like they genuinely cared about their students. However, after we promoted to high school, I'm pretty sure most of the teachers left to teach high schoolers as well.

There were no clubs or electives offered to the junior high students. Due to changes in Common Core, we took two years of Pre-Algebra instead of moving on to Algebra 1.

Hopefully the school has changed.

I would like to see better teachers come out of the school and speeches by past factually and about how school helps you be a better person. I also want more work focus on math not english
