Audubon Traditional Elementary School Reviews

My daughter and son both attend Audubon Traditional Elementary School and it has been the best experience ever. They are on top of their communication with parents. They ensure our kids are safe at all times. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. The school building itself is older but they've done a great job keeping up with the maintenance. Now on to their academic curriculum, it is the best by far that I've seen. They challenge their students. The children aren't just skating by, if they do not understand something or are struggling with something, we are notified immediately. We don't have to wait on report cards and progress reports. My children are striving wonderfully at Audubon to the point, JCPS has sent letters home, trying to move my children to advanced placement.
My daughter and I had a horrible time at this school. My daughter is very sweet and sensitive, and LOVES school. Right after she attended this school, she said that her teacher (Miss Prince/ Miss Knight) was rude. We started observing our daughter talking to her dolls at home while mimicking her teacher. The words that came from her mouth as she mimicked her teacher were words that we would never have taught her. We requested for a parent- teacher meeting. Her teacher was arrogant, and she made it clear to us that she was not willing to work with our child get transitioned to her class. We pulled our daughter out - best decision we made. Up to now, my daughter still says - "Please don't bring me back to her class". We have mentioned this situation to our daughter's next teachers and all of them were appalled by her previous teacher's behavior.
