It's an amazing school with amazing people! It's easy to fit in and get involved! They have lots of opportunities and different classes. They really help you achieve your goals, but you have to initiate. If you talk to the administration about what you want to do (starting a club/job shadowing/whatever else), they will try every way to help you achieve. The sports/general atmosphere are amazing. The academics/academic teams have been very successful.
It was a very different and special school for me because I spent my junior year in that school as an exchange student. Therefore I will make my assessment from a slightly different perspective. Until my junior year,I was educated in the schools which base on the educational system in Turkey. There are very big differences between the education systems in America and in Turkey. The biggest difference is the lack of a centralized education system in America as in Turkey. The system in Turkey obstructs people from being offered different options. There is only one right education system for everyone. It is just expected to be successful in exams. Social activities, sports and clubs are not regarded. Contrariwise,in America, students are offered many different options , which is I experienced in Auburn High School. Although my school is a small school, it was very active in sports. I was impressed by regular work at school clubs.I had a lot of opportunities to improve myself socially.
I loved being a part of the Auburn community. It is a very friendly, welcoming, and tight-knit place. The rural area is beautiful and having a small school makes it so that you can get to know everyone fairly easily. The teachers and faculty get to know you personally and offer a lot of individual help. I would not change anything about my experience at Auburn High School and am proud to be an Eagle.
